The CAT 2023 exam date is November 26, 2023, and it will be conducted in three sessions: morning, afternoon, and evening¹².

The CAT 2023 registration process will start from August 2, 2023, and end on September 13, 2023¹². Candidates can apply online through the official website by paying a non-refundable fee of Rs. 2300 for general category and Rs. 1150 for reserved category²³.

The CAT 2023 eligibility criteria require candidates to have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% for SC/ST/PwD candidates) or be in the final year of their degree program¹². Candidates with a professional degree such as CA/CS/ICWA/FIAI are also eligible to apply².

The CAT 2023 exam pattern consists of three sections: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Ability (QA)¹². The total number of questions is 66, out of which 26 are non-MCQs that require typing the answer (TITA)². The duration of the exam is 120 minutes, with 40 minutes allotted for each section¹².

The CAT 2023 cutoff  will be decided by each participating institute based on their own criteria and admission process¹². Candidates who meet the minimum cutoff marks will be shortlisted for further rounds such as Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview (PI)¹². The final selection will be based on the overall performance of the candidates in all the stages¹².
